Project
Context
A political quiz app designed to show users what they actually think not what they think they think.
Delivery
End-to-end product design personas, IA, user flows, wireframes, UI, UX copy strategy, dev annotations. 22 screens. Work in progress.
Context
Most political apps tell you what to think. DITTO IQ shows you what you already think. Real quotes, real politicians, speaker hidden. Every reaction builds a personal political alignment profile the DittoMeter.
The Decision
The brief described a quiz app. I designed an identity tool that looks like a quiz. That reframe changed every design decision the paywall, the conversion moment, the mode structure, the copy. Users don't pay for more quizzes. They pay to complete something they've already started building.
The Outcome
22 screens designed end to end. Full UX copy strategy produced for every screen. A free-to-premium conversion funnel built around aspiration not pressure. Work in progress.

Discovery
Challenge 1
Engagement without bias a political app that feels partisan loses half its audience. Every design decision had to treat red and blue identically.
Challenge 2
Free-to-premium conversion the free tier had to be genuinely good, not crippled. Finding the line between good enough to stay and good enough to pay was the core product architecture challenge.
Challenge 3
Identity over trivia a quiz app where you score points has a ceiling. The DittoMeter reframes everything. Now every session builds something. Users aren't playing a game. They're building a profile.
Research
1
Insight
Political apps that feel partisan hemorrhage users neutrality is a retention strategy, not just a value.
2
Insight
The best paywalls show you what's behind them. They're doors, not walls.
3
Insight
Identity features convert better than content features people pay to know themselves.
4
Insight
Copy is the product in a text-heavy app. Every word is a design decision.
